Website maintenance and support

At the Website Design Studio, we take pride in the personal level of support you will receive as a client. We have endless patience and will attempt to answer any query, no matter how minor, in simple, jargon-free language. In fact we particularly welcome clients who have limited or no knowledge of computers and website design.

Minor updates to your website

Thoughout the hosting year, you may need to make minor changes to text or replace images. We charge £35 per hour to make changes to your site billed in quarter-hour segments. If your change request is small, we log the time and add it to your yearly hosting bill. The minimum charge is therefore £8.75. Fifteen minutes work is normally ample to make simple text changes to a page or replace an image.

If an update looks like it is going to take more than 15 minutes, we will give you an estimate of how much it is likely to cost before making the changes.

If you think you are going to make many small text changes to your site through out the hosting year, we recommend that you opt for a CMS where you an update the site yourself. Please note that this option is only suitable for clients with good computing skills.

Major changes to your website

If you need a major change to your site such as a re-design or additional pages adding, please contact us for an estimate.

Maintenance agreements

For website owners who need regular updates (weekly or monthly), we can provide an update service where we update your site with new information such as new timetables, products and services, price lists etc. Included in this is a link checking service where we check outgoing links from your website. The cost of a maintenance agreement depends on how much updating there is to be done. Please contact us for a quote.
